A wall display system with an open thread standard, so the attachments aren’t a fixed set — anyone can design and print their own. Top ten in Bambu’s Living Gallery contest.
Wall displays come in two kinds, and both are compromises. Cluttered — corkboards, gallery walls, sticky tack — or rigid: frames, shadowboxes, pre-fab grids. One gives you freedom and no structure; the other gives you structure and no freedom.
ISO is built around the isogrid, the triangular cutout pattern aerospace engineers use to make panels strong and light at once. Here the grid becomes a structural canvas: mount tiles to a wall, then snap or screw in attachments — photo holders, hooks, shelves, magnets, snaps — to hold whatever you carry with you.

The whole system regenerates from one equilateral triangle, so any tile size can be produced without redrawing anything. Current sizes are 4, 5 and 6-inch diagonals.



The first set covers photo walls: hooks, shelves, holes, magnets, snaps. All of them share the same thread, which is what makes them interchangeable — and what makes the set extendable rather than fixed.

It started as a fix for my own dorm wall and got more interesting once I committed to the open-thread standard. The real test is whether standardisation actually invites third-party design: if people make their own attachments, it's a system. If they only use mine, it's a product. The expansion logic is the whole bet.
